Location, location, location.
This place is well-located in Porto Arabia, so I spend a decent amount of time here. The coffee is pretty good. Not exceptional, but that’s not what I am looking for when I come to a chain shop. I have Caribou Coffee back home, and the flavor is pretty consistent with what I am used to.
The shop itself is pretty small, so sometimes it is hard to find a seat during peak hours. If you do get one of the coveted plush leather chairs though, it is quite pleasant. They have a “faux” gas fireplace, which for some reason makes me really nostalgic. I like it a lot.
If the weather is cool, there are plenty of places to sit outside. The view of the Porto Arabia marina is as spectacular as it is when you are strolling along the perimeter. It is one of my favorite places to sit and work on my laptop in the winter.
Again, Caribou doesn’t do rocket science molecular micro-brewed coffee. But no one expects that from chains like this, Costa, or Starbucks. It’s good enough. And the location makes it a destination. Recommended. Enjoy.
